What is Points to UOW?
Points to UOW is a program where by bonus points are awarded to students for their performance in HSC subjects that are relevant to the specific undergraduate programs they wish to undertake at UOW.
Experience tells us that students who have undertaken and done well in relevant HSC subjects are generally better prepared for university study.
Am I eligible for Points to UOW?
To be considered you must be eligible to receive a UAI (or equivalent), complete your HSC in the year prior to admission, and complete relevant subjects.
Points to UOW is only available for UOW undergraduate degrees and is not available when applying for mid-year admission.
How do I apply for Points to UOW?
No separate application is required, it all happens automatically.
The Points to UOW program is facilitated via the UAC system - if you have a UAC preference for a program at UOW AND your performance in a HSC course is in the specified band, bonus points will be automatically added for that UOW preference.
How many bonus points can I receive with Points to UOW?
You can receive a maximum of 3 bonus points for each UOW preference. The number of bonus points awarded and the HSC subjects considered are specific to each individual UOW undergraduate program.
Therefore, if you select a number of degrees at UOW as a preference, you may have a different admission rank for each preference, depending on the HSC subjects you complete and your results in these subjects.

Yes, if you are eligible, you may also gain bonus points under UOW’s Local and Regional Bonus Scheme.
This scheme is for students from high schools within the University’s drawing area, as well as students from rural and remote areas throughout NSW.

This means that you may be eligible for up to 6 bonus points, including the Points to UOW Scheme, and even more points if you qualify and apply for EAS.
Am I still eligible for additional bonus points via the Educational Access Scheme (EAS)?
Yes, if you qualify, you are able to apply for additional points via the Educational Access Scheme.
